We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of two adjacent buildings in Concord, California. This role involves overseeing maintenance tasks, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Job Details:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for managing maintenance and improvement projects for facilities, equipment, and grounds. This position involves both routine maintenance tasks and larger projects, as well as interaction with external contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks for equipment, buildings, and grounds based on priority.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors, including plumbers, electricians, and groundskeepers.
• Conduct grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal, parking lot repairs, and general upkeep.
• Manage building improvement projects and vendor bids, scheduling, and payment processing.
• Conduct safety inspections for fire systems, sprinklers, and elevators and maintain documentation.
• Maintain a recurring maintenance schedule and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitor lock-out/tag-out logs and complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• OSHA certification is preferred, along with relevant skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, or machine operations.
• Familiarity with OSHA, health, and safety regulations, as well as state and local building codes.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and self-motivated multitasker.
